Where the money goes

To ensure total accountability and transparency, donations are made to the Gruppetto Fund via the Australian Community Foundation.  Gruppetto has also partnered with the Newsboys Foundation, which works with dozens of youth-focused organisations across Victoria. Founded in 1893 as the Melbourne Newsboys Club, Newsboys now provides grants for youth-focused programs.

Since it became a foundation in 1974, Newsboys has given more than $18 million to help young people across Victoria.  Newsboys assess grant applications to ensure programs are effective and appropriate. Newsboys monitors the grants given and Newsboys’ acquittal process ensures the funds have been used by organisations in an appropriate, effective manner.
