What we do

The funds the Gruppetto Fund raises go towards helping young people in Victoria who are suffering disadvantage to reach their full potential. The Gruppetto Fund raises funds by hosting sports-themed luncheons and events. Gruppetto Fund events are usually cycling focussed, based on our founders’ long enthusiasm and passion for the sport.

The Gruppetto Fund is proud to partner with the Newsboys Foundation. Newsboys has a long history of helping young people in Victoria, dating back to its foundation as the Melbourne Newsboys Club in 1893. Since Newsboys became a foundation in 1974, it has distributed more than $18 million to help young people in Victoria.

Funds raised by the Gruppetto Fund go to the Newsboys Foundation Trust and in turn are distributed via grants to innovative organisations that help young people. Newsboys funds organisations that have a clear strategic vision, proven evidence base and demonstrated impact. 

The Gruppetto Fund is a sub-fund of the Australian Communities Foundation.
